Coronavirus – An Important Update Regarding Orders

 

 

Christmas Delivery Deadlines 2020

To ensure your order is delivered before Christmas please ensure orders are placed to the following schedule*: 

*Please note:  Extended lead times may be in place for large items, large orders and to certain hard to reach postcodes in Scotland, Wales, the South West and North West of England.  If you need your item urgently, please contact us before placing your order.  Please also take note of the COVID 19 delivery information below.  

As always, once you have placed your order with us one of our dispatch team will be in touch via email to confirm you delivery window. 

Varico Ltd will close at 4:30pm on Thursday 17th December 2020.  We will re-open at 9:00am on Wednesday 6th January 2021.  Any incoming communication will be dealt with on our return to work. 

Whilst the above are our latest delivery date(s) for orders required this year we would strongly advise ordering with as much notice as possible.  The carrier networks do usually experience an increased demand at this time of year.  Therefore, there may be delays outside of our direct control during this period. 

Any orders that miss our order deadline will be processed for delivery week commencing 13th January onwards.

Our order lead times remain as per previous updates – in general deliveries are being made between 5 and 15 working days from placement of order.  Whilst we are not currently experiencing delays past this time there may be times where orders are delayed due to the operational restrictions and increased freight in the carrier network.  Where this is the case you will be notified immediately.

2nd November – IMPORTANT UPDATE PLEASE READ

WE ARE OPEN AND DELIVERING!

 

Following the announcement by the Government that all non-essential businesses are to close from 5th November.  We can confirm that as a construction material supplier to large infrastructure projects Varico Ltd are considered an essential business and will remain open and trading. 

Our order lead times remain as per previous updates – in general deliveries are being made between 5 and 15 working days from placement of order.  Whilst we are not currently experiencing delays past this time there may be times where orders are delayed due to the operational restrictions and increased freight in the carrier network.  Where this is the case you will be notified immediately.

25th June  – Latest Update – IMPORTANT PLEASE READ

 

We are facing unprecedented demand as many customers turn to ordering online. 

 

The demand for our product range has increased ten-fold over the few weeks.  Whilst we are still coping with the increased traffic the transport networks to ship large items are starting to struggle. 

 

With this in mind it has become necessary to bring in additional lead times to help ease the pressure on distribution.  This means that all orders placed on or after 25th June 2020 will be subject to a minimum lead time of five working days. 

 

Average delivery lead time is currently 10 working days from placement of order.

These delays are outside of our direct control and lie solely with the carrier providers.  We will always endeavour to get orders processed and delivered as soon as possible.

12th June 2020 – Latest Update – IMPORTANT PLEASE READ

 

Whilst demand for our products soar, we are keeping orders flowing. 

 

The demand for our products has increased dramatically with the introduction of safety screens in most public spaces.  Despite this increased demand we are still able to deliver to the majority of the UK within a two-week period.  As always, we advise customers that require an urgent delivery to get in touch via the ‘HELP’ button below before placing an order

Whilst our operations are running well and in a timely manner it has become apparent that the carrier and courier networks are struggling to cope with the general increase in parcel traffic. 

Regrettably this is now impacting their operations and there are now delays for deliveries to the following areas:

22nd May 2020 – Latest Update

 

Demand is high but we are delivering!

 

Further to our latest update we are now delivering to the whole of the UK mainland (excluding Highlands).  Our lead times are generally good however there are still some delays in processing and delivering orders of up to two weeks.  You will receive an email from us once your order is placed to confirm a delivery window.  We would advise all customers that require an urgent delivery to get in touch via email or ‘HELP’ prior to placing your orders. 

Our telephone lines remain closed.  This is to allow staff to work remotely and follow social distancing guidelines.  We therefore are accepting enquiries through the ‘HELP’ button below or via email support@varicoltd.com however please could we ask that you only send your enquiry to one of these channels and not both to avoid confusion. 

Response times are generally good however we are currently facing unprecedented demand meaning there may be a delay in response to your enquiry.  Enquires will be answered Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm only.  We are also closed on bank holidays. 

For the safety and well-being of our customers and staff our trade counter remains closed to the public until further notice.  During this time, we are unable to offer collections from our trade counter in Aldridge.  All items are available for delivery only.  Please do not visit our trade counter as we will be unable to assist you.

23rd April 2020 - Latest Update:  

We are now accepting online orders and delivering again.  

Whilst there are still some small delays to lead times Varico Ltd have now cleared the backlog of orders and are accepting new orders for delivery.  Lead times to most areas are back to normal with extended lead times only applying to a small part of the country.  The extended lead time is currently around two weeks.

During this time and to adhere to social distancing rules our telephone lines are still closed.  All enquiries should be made through email or via the 'Help' button below.

16th April 2020 - Latest Update:  

Whilst we remain closed, Varico Ltd have started to work with our supply chain partners and logistical partners to clear some of the 'backlogged' orders that have been placed to date.  This means that we are working to have all existing orders dispatched and delivered within the next two weeks. 

We are still accepting new orders which should also be processed, dispatched and delivered within two weeks of the order being placed.   

During this time our phone lines remain closed and we encourage all enquires to be made via email or the 'Help' button below.  Emails are now being checked regularly and response times are good.  

All customers expecting orders from us should keep an eye on their emails as you will be notified shortly of your intended delivery dates.

30th March 2020 - Latest Update:  

Varico Ltd are still temporarily closed to the public for ALL telephone enquiries.  Emails and 'help' messages are being read however there will be significant delays in response times.  New orders are still being accepted however WILL NOT be dispatched until the Government advice changes to allow non-essential businesses to trade as normal.  

Our position remains as previously advised on 24th March.

24th March 2020 UPDATE:  

With the latest government restrictions on businesses Varico Ltd will now temporarily close at 5:00pm on 24th March 2020.  There will be disruption to all orders during this closure and we request that customers who have placed orders that are yet to be delivered and cannot wait until the restrictions are lifted to contact us for a full refund.  Any existing orders in our system will be delivered once government advice changes to allow business to operate as normal.  

During this time Varico Ltd will be closed to incoming enquiries however emails will still be checked.  Any refund requests should be made to sales@varicoltd.com please allow at least 24 hours for emails to be checked Monday - Friday.  

 

Information as of 23rd March 2020:  

With the coronavirus situation worsening and restrictions being imposed it has now come to the stage whereby it is impacting our day-to-day business including the processing of and delivery of orders from Varico Ltd.  As always Varico Ltd have the best interests of our customers and staff in mind and take our social responsibility incredibly seriously. 

 

With this in mind we have taken the difficult decision to suspend normal operations from 5:00PM on Monday 23rd March 2020.  This means there will be an impact on orders received after this time.  

 

Existing orders placed up to 23rd March:

 

All orders placed with us prior to 23rd March should be delivered as normal and as per your chosen delivery method. 

 

At this stage we do not anticipate any additional delays for orders placed up to this time. 

 

New orders made after midday on 23rd March 2020:

 

Any orders placed after midday on Monday 23rd March may be subject to a delay in processing and/or delivery.  The length of this delay is currently unknown but lead times may be extended beyond our quoted lead time.  We will keep you informed of the anticipated delivery dates via email during the closure. 

 

If you do continue to order the following system is in place:  Once your order is placed you will receive an automated email to confirm receipt of your order.  Within 24 hours you will receive a second email updating you to the status of your order and an anticipated delivery date. 

 

We will be doing our utmost to reduce delays to your order, however as restrictions on trade and movement change so will delivery lead times. 

 

At any point during the process you can request a full refund which will be made to your original payment method within two working days. 

 

Varico Ltd makes no guarantee regarding delivery times at this unprecedented time. 

 

Trade Counter & Telephone Enquiries

 

To coincide with the above changes to our delivery schedule Varico Ltd would like to inform customers that our trade counter will no longer be open to the public.  Please do not visit us as the trade counter is closed.    

 

Emails will still be working during this closure however staff will not be present in the office after 5:00pm on 23rd March.  This is to allow staff to self-isolate adhering to government advice.
